Breeding Report:
Smedsmo’s Sunshine (Smedsmo Graen x Norona by Lunaren), one of our blue-ribbon brood mares, is confirmed bred to MVF Erlend for a 2011 foal!
Congratulations to Dr. Bob Long. His import mare, Peneloppemyendel, is confirmed bred to MVF Erlend for 2011 foals!
Congratulations to Sara Faull of Mandala Farms. Her grey mare, Fjorgyn, is confirmed in foal to MVF Erlend for a 2011 foal!

Skjenna Gard Fiorgyn (Felix x LFF Valena by Flotren) is confirmed in foal to MVF Erlend for a 2011 foal! Not only is Fiorgyn one of our highest evaluated mares, but she produced a lovely grey colt by Erlend this year! We are very excited to welcome another of that cross to our farm.
Blue Earth Fjord Show Results:
Debbie and Smedsmo’s Sunshine competed and placed in three walk/trot classes;
Smedsmo’s Sunshine also placed 3rd in both the 4-6 year old mare halter class and the brood-mare halter class.
Skjenna Gard Fiorgyn placed 1st in both the 4-6 year old mare halter class and the brood-mare halter class. She was also awarded Grand Champion Mare over 30+ mares competing at the show!
We are extremely pleased with the behavior of our mares and the results of the show—we couldn’t have asked for a better representation of our farm and breeding program, and on top of that, we had a wonderful time!!
Libby International Fjord Show Results:
This fall Debbie flew out to Washington State to help Dan and Solveig Watanabe of Olivia Farm with their show prep and competition at the Libby show in Libby, MT!
Debbie drove OH Sadie, the lovely MVF Erlend daughter (how fitting!), in the Novice to Drive where she placed 1st, and the Old Farts in Carts, where she placed 2nd!
OH Sadie won the coveted Versatility Award and it was so fun to see her out competing in all the disciplines—she definitely made her sire proud!
